Work > unfolding landscapes

Site 1: Dump is a companion to Site 2: Gorge. Together they represent the interwoven processes of natural and cultural dumping taking place on upstream and downstream sites in the Cayuga Lake NY watershed. Dump represents an abandoned, but far from inert and stable, upstream dumpsite on Bolter Creek. Its volume empties and fills. Its 1’ x 1’ x 1’ transparent volume contains 6 shelves with removable boxes and sediment slides. Each removable boxes opens and unfolds into a 12” H x 6’W folio. All 6 folios then assemble into a 6’ x 6’ ground plane or site.
